Anthem Letters to CVT PPO Members

Please share with CVT members enrolled in Anthem PPO plans.
This morning Anthem Blue Cross notified CVT that they mailed a “term notification” to many Anthem PPO plan subscribers associated with CVT. These letters informed members that their coverage had ended – which is NOT correct.
Situation details:
- Letters were recently mailed by Anthem to CVT members that may have changed their plan and/or made dependent changes during Open Enrollment.
- These letters informed members that their coverage had been terminated effective 10/1/15, and provided members with information about enrolling in an Anthem individual plan, state marketplace (Exchange) plan, or via Medi-Cal.
- The letters also contained a “Notice of Group Health Plan Coverage,” which identifies coverage start and end dates.
- Please be assured that CVT Anthem members that simply changed their plan and/or made dependent changes during Open Enrollment are not terminated. These members continue to have coverage with CVT and Anthem.
- CVT Anthem members can verify their current eligibility by calling CVT’s dedicated customer service team at 1.800.234.4333 or by visiting www.anthem.com/ca (login required).
Anthem sincerely regrets any confusion that this letter may have caused. Please contact CVT Member Services if you need assistance regarding this matter at 800.288.9870.
